LAVA and ARUP received a commendation in an Australian competition to design relocatables - classrooms for the future.
LAVA and ARUPs proposal was one of 116 submissions exploring diverse ideas for future-proofing relocatable learning spaces.
The aim of the ideas competition was to produce effective spaces for 21st century learning that are sustainable, integrate with the landscape and connect with the school environment, suitable for prefabrication and mass customisation.
The exciting solutions are on show from 12 – 22 December 2011 at the Wunderlich Gallery, University of Melbourne.
The Future Proofing School competition was funded as an Australian Research Council Linkage Project.

What an inspiring project! The Classroom of the Future really shows how technology like Touch Screens can transform learning into an interactive experience. Students must love engaging with lessons in such a hands-on way. Can’t wait to see more classrooms embrace this tech!
